Abhijit Banerjee gets Nobel Prize in Economics

She is the second woman after Elinor Ostrom to win Nobel Prize in Economics and is the wife of Abhijit Banerjee.[/mfn] and Michale Kremer[mfn]Michael Robert Kremer is an American Economist who won the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2019 along with Abhijit Banerjee and Esther Duflo.[/mfn] for their “experimental approach to alleviating Global Poverty”. He is the second Indian to get awarded in Economics after Amartya Sen[mfn]Amartya Sen is an Indian Economist and was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1998 for his contribution to Welfare Economics.[/mfn] in 1998.
