Imagine what would happen if there is no water available on the planet earth. The answer is life doesn’t exist just like on other planets. Earth has 71% water compared to 29% of the land. But only 2.5% of the total available water is freshwater, and that serves billions of people across the world. Is it enough to cater to the needs of the rapidly growing population? Of course, the answer is no. According to Worldwildlife, an NGO, two-thirds of the world’s population will be in a water crisis if the usage of water continues at the current consumption rate. Remember how Cape Town suffered from water scarcity.
